Adrian Navas has attended to the training course “Advanced numerical methods for Earth-system modelling” held by the European Center for Medium-range Weather Forecast (ECMWF) from 11th to 15th of April 2016 in Reading (UK). Course participants were invited to present a poster and Adrian presented his current work entitled “High order schemes for hyperbolic conservation laws” that can be found here.
The course covered a broad variety of topics within the framework of atmospheric modeling, such as numerical schemes for the resolution of the governing equations, discretization and meshing techniques and HPC technologies used at ECMWF.
