Several young researchers from the GH2C research group participated in the XV I3A Young Researchers Conference, an annual event that brings together early-career researchers from the Institute for Research in Engineering of Aragon (I3A) to present and discuss their latest scientific advances.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their research, exchange ideas with colleagues from different disciplines, and strengthen collaborations within the I3A research community.
Among our representatives, Mengyun Wang delivered an oral presentation entitled “Sulfamethoxazole Retention in River Sediments under Variable Hydrodynamic Conditions.” Her presentation highlighted ongoing research on the influence of hydrodynamic conditions on the retention of pharmaceutical contaminants in river sediments and generated valuable discussion with the audience.
The remaining GH2C researchers presented their work during the poster session, sharing the latest progress in their respective research areas. We are especially proud to announce that Ignacio Ojer received the Best Poster Award in the Industrial Technologies Division for his poster entitled “Calibration of Hydraulic Roughness Using Supervised Classification.” This recognition highlights the quality and impact of his research and represents a significant achievement for our research group.
The remaining works presented were:
Non-Invasive Young’s Modulus and Aortic Root Flow Reconstruction from Scarce Data Using Physics-Informed Neural Networks. Javier Orera Echeverría, Javier Murillo.
